Who is a Licenced Cadastral Surveyor?

CSLB_logoThe Cadastral Survey Act 2002 came into effect on 1 June 2002.  This Act set up the appointment of a new Cadastral Surveyors Licensing Board (CSLB) and dissolved the then existing Survey Board of New Zealand that had been appointed under the Survey Act 1986.   The new Act created a new class of surveyor called a "Licenced Cadastral Surveyor" (LCD) to replace the "Registered Surveyor" under the 1986 Act.  All Registered Surveyors are automatically LCD's.

An LCD is the only surveyor authorised by law to replace to sign a survey dataset that places a boundary mark or defines a land transfer survey.

Nicklin Surveying & Resource Management has Licenced Cadastral Surveyors on its staff.
